Specialist. Doctor of Medicine. Responsible for the Infectious Diseases Unit (UMI), working on ambulatory care and the hospitalized patient setting. The UMI's lines of research include different topics, among which clinical and basic research on legionella, congenital immunodeficiencies, infectious endocarditis and tropical diseases. He is the professor of Medicine and vice dean of postgraduate studies at the UAB Medical School. He coordinates the undergraduate Medicine and Surgery IV course and of the Master in Clinical Research Applied to the Health Sciences.
